About the Event
Artopia will return to Winter Street Studios (2101 Winter Street) on January 26, 2013. As in years past, this will be an evening of culture, fashion, art, music and food. Entertainment includes musical performances by Bang Bangz, Bagheera and Poor Pilate, plus two fashion shows, live performances from FrenetiCore Dance and Karen Stokes Dance as well as works from over 25 local artists. Artopia will also feature the 5th annual Houston Press Mastermind Awards sponsored by Stella Artois. During the event, Houston Press will award a $2,000 grant to three progressive individuals or small organizations that have made an impact in the local art community. Ticket prices include complimentary food, wine, cocktail and beer sampling. Sampling restaurants include The Counter, Phoenicia, Sorrel and Cajun Stop. Haven will be featured in the Hail A Cab VIP lounge. This event is 21+ only and general admission tickets are $55 while VIP tickets are $85. A portion of the event proceeds will benefit Houston PBS.
